Indications

  • The choice of reinforcements should be determined on the basis of the prescription of the health professional supplying the device. Do not change the reinforcements without first consulting your professional.
  • In the event of a palmar injury, do not use the device in the extended wrist position.
  • In the event of an extension injury, do not use the flexed wrist positions.


Extended wrist position (radiocarpal extension) :


  • Sequelae of wrist or carpal injuries :
    • Scaphoid pseudarthrosis.
    • Dorsal triquetral avulsion.
    • Carpal instability.
  • Degenerative disease :
    • Radiocarpal arthritis : SLAC and SNAC.
    • Carpal boss.
    • Synovial cyst of the wrist.
    • Kienböch’s aseptic necrosis of the semilunar bone.
  • Inflammatory joint disease, including rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Tendon diseases and tendon injuries :
    • De Quervain’s stenotic tenosynovitis.
    • Crepitant tenosynovitis of the extensors.


Flexed wrist position (radiocarpal flexion) :


  • Tenosynovitis of the flexors : carpal tunnel syndrome that has not been surgically corrected.
  • Peri-scaphoid arthritis.
  • Guyon’s canal syndrome.


Flexed wrist (radiocarpal flexion) and cubital inclination position :


  • Reduction of radial fracture and stabilization using Judet’s technique.
  • Wrist fractures in the very elderly.
  • After 3 weeks, gradual return to wrist extension.

Care instructions

  • Remove the splint before washing.
  • Wash only with soapy water, without detergent or bleach.
  • Squeeze out excess water.
  • Dry away from heat sources
