Armstrong Sensitive foot orthotic
Features & benefits
Peripheral neuropathy, in conjunction with plantar shear forces and pressure are known to be the primary causes of ulceration in patients with diabetes.
The Vasyli-Armstrong® orthotic addresses the key problem areas for the diabetic foot – shearing / friction and pressure. The dorsal surface of the VA orthotic moves with the plantar surface of the foot.
The Vasyli-Armstrong® orthotic clinically and scientifically validated to reduce shear forces and the incidence of plantar ulcerations compared to standard diabetic insoles.
- Patented Glideslide Technology dramatically reduces shear / friction forces due to thereby reducing the occurence of skin lesions and the potential for ulceration / infection
- Wider forefoot profile, making it suitable for extra-wide footwear.
- 50% reduction of the EVA distal to the metatarsals, reducing the forefoot thickness.
- Trimmable forefoot width, making it even more flexible when fitting standard, wide, or extra-wide footwear.
